Dr Helen McClory

Helen is an award winning writer and editor. She received a PhD in English Literature/Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow in 2010. She lectures at the University of Glasgow and is co-founder of writing retreat Write Toscana. She has appeared on BBC Radio Scotland, at the Edinburgh International Book Festival and the May Festival in Aberdeen, as well as on panel discussions and live events such as Neu Reekie. Her short stories have been listed for distinction in The Best of British Fantasy (2018), The Best of British and Irish Flash Fictions (2018/19), and is widely published. Helen brings her immense talent to SWB as our main consultant to advise on English Language standards. She helps in the screening process and coaches our enthusiastic team in preparation for assignments to UK businesses.
